Los Banos maintains more than a dozen public parks, plus one of California's largest reservoirs just outside city limits.
The single biggest outdoor draw near Los Banos, San Luis Reservoir sits just west of the city along CA-152 and offers boating, fishing, windsurfing, and camping across one of the state's largest man-made lakes. It's the default answer to "what do people do for fun around here" for a lot of locals.
The City of Los Banos Parks & Recreation Department maintains a full network of neighborhood and community parks. Hours generally run 6am–10pm, on a first-come, first-served basis, with alcohol prohibited in all city park spaces.
